Twenty members joined us at St Paul’s School on the banks of the Thames for a lively discussion. It included guidance on the preferential Opt-Out ‘Legitimate Interest Assessment’ (LIA) pathway for retaining contact with more alumni in a Membership organisation under the Data Protection GDPR rules which had just come into force on 25th May 2018.

Debate also covered many other topics such as subscriptions, differing organisational structures in societies, engaging with recent leavers & alumni, social events, insurance, etc.
