With the Summer Solstice fast approaching and the King's school year wrapping up in less than three weeks, I wanted to share an update on the latest OR and King's School events. We would love to welcome you all back.
This weekend, we are looking forward to seeing the Old Choristers return for their Reunion Evensong, which begins at 15:15 on Sunday 21st June.
Please join us for an evening of fizz, friendship, and fun at our annual Summer Ball, where we celebrate our Upper Sixth Leavers and the close of another successful academic year. All members of the King's Community are invited to this truly special event.
This year, guests will enjoy a drinks reception with a glass of fizz on arrival, followed by a beautifully curated grazing table featuring charcuterie, artisan breads, antipasti, olives, dips, and cheese. The meal concludes with a medley of desserts and a dedicated cheese table, after which guests can dance the night away to The Redfords.
If you would like to be involved in either of these events, please feel free to contact msnoswell@kings-rochester.co.uk.
We have already had a number of matches this year—all excellent games, though the results have gone slightly against us. The T20 match against the School was a high-scoring affair, and the Cricketer Trophy match proved to be a challenging contest against a very good side.
If you fancy playing in any of the following fixtures, please contact bwilton@kings-rochester.co.uk:
Join us as we say "au revoir" to our extraordinary Rugby coach, Paul Medhurst. Let us tempt you to pull on your boots one last time!
All Old Roffensians are welcome to join us at the annual Commemoration Day celebration.
At King’s, our strongest advocates have always been our parents and Old Roffensians. Many of the families who join us do so because of a personal recommendation. While we live in the social media age and parents are increasingly discerning of digital advertising, word of mouth remains our most powerful recruitment tool. To recognise and thank those who help our vibrant community grow, we are pleased to introduce the King’s Ambassador Programme. This ‘refer a family’ incentive scheme is designed to allow our greatest supporters to directly benefit from our growth.
How it works:
Help us share the King’s experience with the next generation of pupils. We feel this incentive gives extra opportunities for all to experience the benefits of an education here at King's Rochester.
