AROPS Conference, St Columba’s College, 16th May 2020 Notification
As a result of developments around the coronavirus outbreak, the AROPS Committee regret to inform you that the AROPS Conference planned for 16th May 2020 at St Columba’s College has been cancelled.
Grateful thanks to Tracey Ahmet and those Committee Members who worked so hard to finalise the programme, and to Keith Balkham for preparing the Conference programme and online booking (still available online from the download section of this website for your interest).
Particular thanks to David Buxton, Headmaster, and Jim Lewis, former Director of Alumni Engagement, St Columba’s College, for offering to host the event and giving such timely guidance in these challenging times.
We have now notified all speakers that the event will not now take place.
We deeply regret having to make this difficult decision, which was made after undertaking our own risk assessment using research with the NHS England and the various relevant educational bodes, and consulting with St Columba’s School.
We will be reviewing our policy on AROPS Regional Meetings at the next AROPS Committee Meeting on 19 March and update you shortly.
Do put the date of the 50th Anniversary Conference, to be held at St John’s Leatherhead (where the first conference took place) in your diary, to be held on 8th May 2021.
