King Henry VIII School Marks 50 Years of Co-Education with Inspiring “50 for 50” Exhibition

King Henry VIII School proudly celebrated a historic milestone this September, marking 50 years since the school first welcomed girls to join its community. To honour this occasion, the Old Coventrians’ Association, in partnership with the school, launched the “50 for 50” exhibition, a powerful tribute to five decades of co-education.

The exhibition showcases the stories of women who have passed through the School’s doors over the past half-century, highlighting their achievements across careers, families, communities, sport, education and beyond. Through portraits representing each decade, as well as a growing digital “scrapbook” of photographs, reflections and memories, “50 for 50” celebrates both the successes and the challenges overcome by generations of pupils.
